MUSIC VIDEOS
I spent six years working in music videos creating work for artists as varied as Feeder, Babybird, Dolores O’Riordan and Gracious K. I hated the industry and I hated the way it worked so I retired from active duty early in the middle of 2009, but there’s no doubt the challenges posed by creating ultra-high quality work in highly compressed schedules with non-existent budgets gave me a fantastic appreciation of what can be achieved if you really put your mind to it. It also gave me an opportunity to play with lots of different types of camera toy, from Phantom hi-speed, to helicopters, 360 panoramic lenses and bodyrigs, experiences you don’t get in ordinary production very often. I shot 35 music videos in total, some very bad, but many I have fond memories of. Watch some of them below, or find out how I created some of the more special ones here.
